Unfortunately, as many of you have heard, the Liga MX Week 10 games will not be played due to a referree strike that affects not only the first team, but the U-20 and U-17 sides as well.

While those two teams didn’t get to see action this weekend, two other Pumas affiliates picked up three important points.

Pumas Premier (Segunda Division)

Score: Pumas 1-1 Tlaxcala F.C.

Pumas Premier continue their unbeaten start to the Clausura with a 1-1 draw against Tlaxcala on Friday.

Ricardo Jurardo scored a 24th minute goal that gave Pumas the point.

Erik Vera, who is a first team defender, played 90 minutes with Pumas Premier. This seems to cement the fact Alan Mendoza has secured the starting left back spot for Pumas, as he’s played well all season long. Vera, who has been seen three minutes of play with the first team, needs competitive minutes to keep fit. Omar Islas, who has played mostly with the U-20s, started for Pumas as well.

Despite the unbeaten record, Pumas sit in fourth place with 20 points.
